Every colour has a message to convey. And every colour has a purpose. Knowledge of that message and purpose can help us to use them accordingly. Using appropriate colours on an occasion shows our awareness about the colours.

Colours can brighten up skin tone. Finding those colours and using them close to the face can bring that flashlight effect. Colours can elevate the mood or pull down. Using them accordingly can pep up those dull days.

A red may not be one's wow colour but some shades of red could be. That applies to any colour. Knowing the right shade will let us include every colour in the wardrobe.

Classic neutral coloured clothes can serve longer than trendy coloured clothes. More value for the money spent. A capsule wardrobe is made of neutral colours majorly with a few trendy colours for variety.

There are professional colours and casual colours. A professional colour can go in a casual set up. But a casual colour must be avoided in a professional setup. And a professional outfit need not be monotonous with neutral colours. Including a trendy colour in minuscule quantity say a scarf or an earring or a tie can bring in that little drama to an otherwise regular outfit.
